How to replace brake light bulb for BMW 5 Series (E60, E61)

Model years: 2003 - 2010
Brake light is a luminous signal situated at the rear light cluster of the car, which lights up in red whenever driver make use of brakes. Strictly speaking it is a warning, that the vehicle in front of you will slow down or come to a complete stop. Making sure brake lights are operating is significant , otherwise ear-end collisions can occur. If the brake lights of the vehicle are not working, the driver from behind might not foresee facing car is slowing down and high possibility to cause a road accident might emerge. If you noticed, that stepping on brake pedal neither of brake lights illuminates, the bulb should be replaced straightway. Just before mending inoperative brake light, be certain you hold a genuine bulb.

The life-time of a bulb is limited. Sooner or later, it will burn out and will have to be replaced. Bulbs, made of high quality materials, tend to last longer. It's recommended to use well known brand replacement bulbs.

If bulb burns out right after installation, your vehicle might have a problem inside electrical system - have it checked by auto electrician.
