How to replace turn signal bulb for BMW X5 five-door SUV (E70)

Model years: 2006 - 2013
Automotive turn signals or flashers are twinkling lamps, attached at each corner of the vehicle's body. Driver should not ignore using these lamps and inform other road users, that the vehicle is about to end constant movement and start a maneuver. It's very important to switch turn signals on each time required by road traffic regulation, so that other drivers have enough time to plan their further actions. For the same reason, all turn lamp bulbs should be repaired as soon as failure has been detected. Usually, the source of a defective turn indicator is an idle bulb, which can be detected even from the inside of the vehicle: every time turn signal is active, the flashing rate of a relative indicator in the dashboard will be increased, even though only one bulb has burned out.

The life-time of a bulb is limited. Sooner or later, it will burn out and will have to be replaced. Bulbs, made of high quality materials, tend to last longer. It's recommended to use well known brand replacement bulbs.

If bulb burns out right after installation, your vehicle might have a problem inside electrical system - have it checked by auto electrician.
