How to replace turn signal bulb for BMW X5 five-door SUV (E53)
Model years: 1999 - 2006
Car turn signals or blinkers are flashing lights, attached at each corner of the vehicle's body. It's a responsibility of each driver to use these lamps properly and inform other road users, that the movement direction of a car is going to be changed. It's crucial to exploit turn signals opportunely, thus forewarning other drivers and keeping the road safe. Because of this, all directional signals should be repaired as soon as failure has been detected. Usually, the source of a malfunctioning turn indicator is a dead bulb, that can easily be discovered while driving: every time turn signal is active, corresponding fascia indicator's blinking rate will be higher, even if a single bulb is not working.
The life-time of a bulb is limited. Sooner or later, it will burn out and will have to be replaced. Bulbs, made of high quality materials, tend to last longer. It's recommended to use well known brand replacement bulbs.
If bulb burns out right after installation, your vehicle might have a problem inside electrical system - have it checked by auto electrician.
