How to replace turn signal bulb for BMW 5 Series (F10, F11, F07)
Model years: 2009 - present
Vehicle turn signals or directional signals are flashing lights, mounted two or more at each side of the vehicle. These lamps are activated by the driver to let others know, that the vehicle is about to end constant movement and start a maneuver. It's critical turn signals are triggered whenever required, in order to improve alertness of the other road users and avoid traffic accidents. Therefore, all turn lamp bulbs that are failed, should be fixed immediately. Usually, the source of an inoperative turn indicator is a failed bulb, that is possible to identify without stepping out of a vehicle: whenever turn signal is switched on, flickering of respective dashboard indicator will be faster than usual, even though only one bulb has burned out.
The life-time of a bulb is limited. Sooner or later, it will burn out and will have to be replaced. Bulbs, made of high quality materials, tend to last longer. It's recommended to use well known brand replacement bulbs.
If bulb burns out right after installation, your vehicle might have a problem inside electrical system - have it checked by auto electrician.

How to replace turn signal bulb:

Front turn signal bulb can be accessed through the wheel house (arch). To make bulb access easier, turn the wheel inwards.

Remove the cover in the wheel housing:

Locate turn signal bulb covering cap and remove it by turning counterclockwise:

Remove bulb from the holder.
5.
Disconnect wiring from the bulb.
6.
Rear turn signal is made using LED technology. If the event of failure contact your service center.
