How to replace turn signal bulb for BMW 5 Series (E60, E61)
Model years: 2003 - 2010
Car turn signals or directionals are twinkling lights, attached at each corner of the vehicle's body. It's a responsibility of each driver to use these lamps properly and notify others, that the vehicle is about to end constant movement and start a maneuver. It's critical to operate turn signals properly, so that other drivers have enough time to plan their further actions. That is the reason, all turn lamp bulbs have to be functioning properly. The most common cause of a malfunctioning turn indicator is a dead bulb, which can be noticed while sitting behind the steering wheel: when driver engages turn signal, flickering rate of a corresponding indicator in dashboard will be increased, either single or all bulbs have failed.
The life-time of a bulb is limited. Sooner or later, it will burn out and will have to be replaced. Bulbs, made of high quality materials, tend to last longer. It's recommended to use well known brand replacement bulbs.
If bulb burns out right after installation, your vehicle might have a problem inside electrical system - have it checked by auto electrician.
