How to replace brake light bulb for Audi A6 (C6)
Model years: 2004 - 2011
Brake light is a lamp located at the rear light cluster of the car, which lights up in red at the time brake pedal is pressed. Strictly speaking it is a warning, that the vehicle is expected to slack up or will achieve a full stop. Ensuring that both brake lights are working is significant to make sure that other drivers could deftly react to your actions. As long as the brake lights of the vehicle are defective, the reaction time of driver in the back increases , leading to rear-end damage. If you noticed, that the brake light has gone out, make a push and replace the bulb. Prior to fixing dead brake light, assure you hold a genuine bulb.
The life-time of a bulb is limited. Sooner or later, it will burn out and will have to be replaced. Bulbs, made of high quality materials, tend to last longer. It's recommended to use well known brand replacement bulbs.
If bulb burns out right after installation, your vehicle might have a problem inside electrical system - have it checked by auto electrician.
