How to replace turn signal bulb for Audi TT (Mk1)

Car turn signals or blinkers are blinking lamps, placed two at the front and two at the rear of the vehicle. These lights should be handled responsibly to notify others, that the vehicle is going to alter movement direction or speed. It's significant turn signals are used whenever necessary, thus forewarning other drivers and keeping the road safe. That is why all turn indicator bulbs have to be functioning properly. Most frequently, the explanation for an unproductive turn indicator is an exhausted bulb, which does not require examining the blinker itself to find out: whenever turn signal is switched on, indicator in the dashboard blinks much faster than normally, either single or all bulbs have failed.

The life-time of a bulb is limited. Sooner or later, it will burn out and will have to be replaced. Bulbs, made of high quality materials, tend to last longer. It's recommended to use well known brand replacement bulbs.

If bulb burns out right after installation, your vehicle might have a problem inside electrical system - have it checked by auto electrician.


How to replace turn signal bulb:
1. To start front turn signal bulb replacement open the bonnet.
2. Locate turn signal light bulb.
3. Remove old bulb.
4. Insert the replacement bulb.
5. Test if turn signal light works.
6. To start rear turn signal bulb replacement open the trunk.
7. Remove rear lights cluster cover.
8. Pull out the lights assembly.
9. Locate turn signal light bulb.
10. Remove old bulb.
11. Insert the replacement bulb.
12. Apply rear lights cluster back.
13. Apply rear lights cluster cover.
14. Test if turn signal works.
