How to replace turn signal bulb for Audi A8 sedan/saloon (D4)

Model years: 2009 - present
Vehicle turn signals or directional indicators are flashing lights, positioned at all four body corners. These lamps are activated by the driver to inform other road users, that the vehicle is prepared to turn, switch lane or turn around. It's essential turn signals are used whenever necessary, thus giving other drivers a notice about vehicle position changes. Therefore, all directional indicators should be repaired as soon as failure has been detected. Most frequently, the explanation for a defective turn indicator is an idle bulb, which can be noticed while sitting behind the steering wheel: when turn signal of the failing side is in operation, flickering of respective dashboard indicator will be faster than usual, even if a single bulb is not working.

The life-time of a bulb is limited. Sooner or later, it will burn out and will have to be replaced. Bulbs, made of high quality materials, tend to last longer. It's recommended to use well known brand replacement bulbs.

If bulb burns out right after installation, your vehicle might have a problem inside electrical system - have it checked by auto electrician.
