How to replace brake light bulb for Audi A3 (8L)
Model years: 1996 - 2003
Brake light is a beam of light at the rear-end of the vehicle, that illuminates in red whenever driver manipulates brake pedal. Strictly speaking it is a warning, that the driver is about to slow down the vehicle or stop completely. Brake light proper performance is a crucial matter so that others can easily predict you are about to stop the vehicle. If car's brake lights are faulty, the driver from behind will likely be less observant if the facing car is slowing down , consequently road accident or even multiple crash can occur. Whenever noticed, that either brake light is not responding, exchange the bulb with the new one with no hesitation. Before repairing failed brake light, make sure you have an adequate bulb.
The life-time of a bulb is limited. Sooner or later, it will burn out and will have to be replaced. Bulbs, made of high quality materials, tend to last longer. It's recommended to use well known brand replacement bulbs.
If bulb burns out right after installation, your vehicle might have a problem inside electrical system - have it checked by auto electrician.
