How to replace turn signal bulb for BMW 3 Series (E92, E93, E90, E91)

Automotive turn signals or indicators are twinkling lamps, placed two at the front and two at the rear of the vehicle. The appearance of these lights are controlled by the driver to inform other road users, that the car is ready to start a maneuver. It's very important to operate turn signals properly, thus forewarning other drivers and keeping the road safe. Because of this, all turn indicator bulbs that are failed, should be fixed immediately. The most common cause of a down turn indicator is a burned out bulb, that can easily be discovered while driving: when turn signal of the failing side is in operation, indicator in the dashboard blinks much faster than normally, although sole bulb has failed.
The life-time of a bulb is limited. Sooner or later, it will burn out and will have to be replaced. Bulbs, made of high quality materials, tend to last longer. It's recommended to use well known brand replacement bulbs.
If bulb burns out right after installation, your vehicle might have a problem inside electrical system - have it checked by auto electrician.

How to replace turn signal bulb:
1.
To start front turn signal bulb replacement open the bonnet.
2.
Locate turn signal light bulb.
3.
Remove old bulb.
4.
Insert the replacement bulb.
5.
Test if turn signal light works.
6.
To start rear turn signal bulb replacement open the trunk.
7.
Remove rear lights cluster cover.
8.
Pull out the lights assembly.
9.
Locate turn signal light bulb.
10.
Remove old bulb.
11.
Insert the replacement bulb.
12.
Apply rear lights cluster back.
13.
Apply rear lights cluster cover.
14.
Test if turn signal works.
